Job Description

My client, the DA, are looking to recruit a committed, dynamic, self-motivated and goal driven individual in KwaZulu Natal. The successful candidate will report to the Provincial Director with an indirect reporting line to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Finance and Systems Manager, and the Provincial Finance Committee.
Responsibilities:
- Financial budgeting and forecasting
- Financial record-keeping and management
- Financial reporting
- Financial and business decision making
- Auditing and financial governance
- Cash and cash flow management
- Adherence to the financial policies of the Party
- General financial oversight
- Managing and directing of finance staff
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a financial environment with at least three at management level
- Systematic, comprehensive, and displaying excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work with large amounts of information in a systematic fashion under tight deadlines
- Ability to work fast, accurately, and creatively under tight timelines
- Outcomes-orientated, not simply task-orientated
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- A commitment to the principles, policies, and programme of action of the DA
- The preferred candidate must be completely outcomes orientated and not simply task orientated
- Excellent organisational abilities
- An ability to work effectively and energetically around a demanding work schedule
- Willing to work long and irregular hours
- Applicants MUST be in possession of a valid driver’s license and have access to an insured vehicle for occasional use
