Job Description

Auditors! Auditors! We are urgently seeking immediately available Auditors to assist with a 12 month Audit Project for a client. Our client offers services in the audit and verification services space within South Africa and they are looking for recently completed SAICA articled candidates, who are available to start asap on a special project and be committed to the contract. Role locations vary, but predominantly Johannesburg based. You’ll form part of this audit team and be responsible for audit work, compiling adequate and relevant working papers, developing a comprehensive portfolio of evidence, and assisting in the preparation of the draft audit report.

Responsibilities:

  • Compilation of working papers, ensuring the development and maintenance of adequate and relevant working papers to support audit findings and conclusions
  • Ensure all audit work complies with applicable regulations, standards and best practices
  • Compile a comprehensive portfolio of evidence to substantiate audit findings and recommendations
  • Conduct audit activities as per agreed-upon procedures
  • Assist in the preparation of draft audit report, summarizing findings, formulating recommendations and presenting audit conclusions
  • Stakeholder engagement, working with other auditors, team members and client stakeholders to ensure smooth and successful completion of the project
  • Maintain organized and detailed documentation of all audit activities and findings
  • Participate in quality assurance reviews of audit work to ensure accuracy and adherence to established standards
  • Ensure that audit progress, issues, and findings to the audit are all communicated well and in a efficient and timely manner

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a completed BComm or BTech degree in Accounting / Audit or CA(SA) or AGA(SA) qualified
  • Minimum of completed SAICA articles
  • Must be available and willing to travel to client audit sites and ideally have a valid driver’s license (company vehicle provided)
  • Must be analytical and strong problem-solver
  • Excellent communication skills both; written and verbal
  • Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office Suited
  • High attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good team player who can also work well independently
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Must be able to work well and adhere to strict confidentiality standards and uphold the integrity of the audit, essential
