Job Description

An exciting company that values people and is internationally aligned is seeking a Business Controller. This individual will be responsible for company budgets, financial analysis and forecasting as well as ensuring accuracy, and profitability. 

Responsibilities:

• Execute and maintain financial reporting systems and processes
• Produce monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements and reports
• Examine financial data identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
• Perform detailed financial analysis, to support business decisions and planning
• Conduct budget and forecast processes, certify alignment with company's strategic goals
• Track and control expenditures, ensure alignment with budgets and  profitability
• Track key financial metrics and give insight to improve business performance
• Liaise with departments heads to certify financial alignment with business objectives
• Certify compliance with accounting standards, tax and other regulations, and internal controls
• Perform financial audits and give recommendations for improving processes 
• Prepare business cases for investment projects
• Develop and maintain internal controls to secure company assets

Requirements:

• Qualification: CIMA or CA(SA) preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, within distribution or logistics industry
• Previous experience as a Business Controller or a similar role
• Knowledge of financial analysis, budgets, and forecasting
