My client is a leader in the renewable energy space, is looking for an AR Accountant. In this role you will be responsible for payments, invoices, VAT returns, streamlining processes.

 Responsibilities: 

• Post payments and maintain accounts receivable in SAP system
• Verify and assign outgoing invoices and credit notes based on commercial and tax regulations
• Help with monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, check realisation of sales revenue or individual value adjustments of receivables
• Prepare advance VAT returns, ZM and INTRASTAT returns for all tax reporting countries
• Assist with VAT case audits of cross-border business transactions liaise with sales department, logistics and external consultants
• Assist with optimizing processes, to improve systems 

Requirements: 

• Minimum of a completed Accounting or Finance qualification
• 3 years relevant practical experience in accounts receivable or a similar role 
• Previous experience in SAP R/3, S/4HANA, ERP systems essential
• High attention to detail
• Strong planning and organisational skills 
• Proactive, team player
