What you will be doing:

Debtors Management:

  • Oversee invoicing, credit notes, collections
  • Manage debtor arrangements and franchisee loans
  • Review debtors ageing reports and onboard new debtors
  • Supervise debit order processes and monthly reporting

Creditors Management:

  • Ensure proper invoice processing and approvals
  • Review COD payments and BEE documentation
  • Manage supplier accounts and resolve queries

Operational Expenses:

  • Oversee travel, credit card, and claims processes
  • Review international travel reconciliations
  • Monitor unbudgeted expenses and reconciliations

Turnover Declarations & Franchise Fees:

  • Ensure accurate turnover declarations and fee invoicing
  • Oversee concession schedules and store turnover validation

Cash Book & Bank Reconciliations:

  • Review and process cash book entries
  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

Fixed Assets Management:

  • Oversee asset additions and depreciation
  • Validate capitalisation of expenses

Governance & Controls:

  • Implement audit recommendations
  • Mitigate financial risks and improve processes

Leadership:

  • Build and lead a high-performing finance operations team
  • Mentor staff and drive process improvement initiatives

Routine & Ad Hoc Tasks:

  • Authorise online payments
  • Support Group Financial Manager with ad hoc requests

What we are looking for: 

  • BCom in Accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a finance team
  • Strong leadership and organisational abilities
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping and financial systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Collaborative team player with cross-functional agility
