What the Role is About

As the Bookkeeper, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the financial engine running smoothly. Working closely with a Finance Manager, you’ll support day-to-day finance operations, month-end processes, and ensure financial data is accurate, compliant, and well-organised. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys responsibility and thrives in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture, verify, and process supplier invoices and manage payment runs
• Support debtor follow-ups and assist with collections when needed
• Ensure accurate VAT treatment and compliance
• Assist with daily accounting tasks, month-end close, and monthly reporting
• Maintain organised digital and physical finance records
• Manage finance inbox queries professionally and timeously
• Provide ad-hoc accounting and office administrative support
• Assist with office supplies, stationery orders, and team events

What They’re Looking For

• Matric (essential); accounting or bookkeeping qualification advantageous
• 2-4 years’ bookkeeping or accounts processing experience
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems (Xero preferred)
• Tech-savvy, with exposure to tools like Dext, Netcash, or HubSpot (advantageous)
• Clear, professional communicator with a mature work ethic
