Who is hiring:

The client operates at the forefront of their industry, providing oil and gas services and solutions that impact stakeholders locally and globally. The finance team is central to guiding business strategy and ensuring compliance, transparency, and value creation.

What the role is about:

As Group Accountant, you’ll own both statutory and management reporting for the Group, consolidating divisional results, and presenting insights to management, boards, and shareholders. Your work ensures that decisions are informed, timely, and aligned with IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Consolidate and analyze divisional financial reports to ensure accurate and consistent group reporting
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, board packs, and presentations with trend analysis, forecasts, and cash flow insights
  • Oversee statutory reporting, including quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS
  • Manage shareholder reporting, coordinating ad hoc requests and year-to-date results
  • Ensure adherence to financial accounting standards, governance frameworks, and company policies
  • Foster strong internal and external relationships with stakeholders and industry players

What we’re looking for:

  • Chartered Accountant CA(SA), 1-2 years PQE
  • Completed articles at a Big 4 audit firm, with post-articles experience in finance or audit at a supervisory/managerial level
  • Must have experience in group consolidations experience (audit exposure)
  • Strong IFRS knowledge and demonstrable financial accounting expertise
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, including year-end and monthly reporting cycles
  • Preference will go to Employment Equity individuals
