Job Description

This role as a Bookkeeper supports a diverse portfolio of businesses by ensuring accurate financial records, smooth payroll processing, and well-managed administrative operations across multiple entities. This role is based in the Southern Suburbs and is best suited to someone with previous hospitality experience.

What you will be doing:

Accounting and bookkeeping

  • Load and process supplier invoices on Xero
  • Manage customer invoicing across multiple platforms
  • Import petty cash files and reconcile expenses
  • Import bank statements and perform regular bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile creditor accounts and send statements
  • Send debtor statements and follow up on collections
  • Process manual journals, including VAT and EMP201 journals
  • Allocate payments from SnapScan, Yoco, Dineplan, Ikentoo, and Lightspeed

Payroll, HR, and administration

  • Process weekly wages and monthly salaries
  • Support HR tasks using the Human Capital Management system
  • Maintain accurate filing and archiving systems
  • Respond to email queries and provide general admin support
  • Load and manage business payments across banking platforms
  • Complete supplier credit applications
  • Assist team members with ad hoc admin and finance-related tasks

Reporting and analysis

  • Maintain and update management dashboards
  • Report on monthly profitability and performance
  • Support cost and costing management, particularly within hospitality operations
  • Report on revenue and cost performance across business units

What we are looking for:

  • Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally across multiple entities
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero
  • Experience with payroll processing and basic HR administration
  • Solid understanding of bank reconciliations, creditors, and debtors
  • Comfortable working with multiple invoicing and payment platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently while supporting a broader team
  • Previous hospitality experience
