What you will be doing:
Capture and maintain financial transactions in the general ledger using Sage
Process payroll and ensure accurate and timely salary payments
Generate and distribute payslips in line with BCEA requirements
Prepare and submit EMP201 and EMP501 returns to SARS
Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Manage invoicing, customer statements, and debtor age analysis
Prepare and submit VAT201 returns
Review and process employee expense claims
Record operational expenses including fleet and fuel costs
Prepare monthly trial balance and supporting schedules
Maintain audit-ready financial records and documentation
What we are looking for:
Qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or related field
3–5 years’ relevant bookkeeping experience
Hands-on experience with Sage Accounting and Sage Payroll
Strong understanding of South African VAT, payroll, and tax requirements
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
