My client is looking for a Payroll Specialist, on contract, who will be responsible for managing and processing the payroll to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time. This role requires knowledge of payroll laws and excellent organisational skills together with strong attention to detail
What you’ll be doing:
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for all employees
- Maintain accurate employee records (hours worked, pay rates, deductions, benefits)
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses and commissions
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Prepare and distribute pay slips
- Handle payroll queries from employees
- Reconcile payroll reports and correct discrepancies
- Assist with year-end tax documents
- Collaborate with HR Finance departments
What we’re looking for:
- Must be immediately available to start, no notice
- 2 – 4 years’ experience in Payroll
- Accounting/financial certificate
- Strong reconciliation and administration skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment
