An established and highly regarded financial services business is seeking a Financial Manager to join its finance team in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of the financial reporting function while partnering with stakeholders across the business to improve processes, enhance reporting, and support strategic decision-making.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial management and reporting activities of the business, ensuring accurate financial information, effective controls, and compliance with relevant accounting and regulatory requirements. The role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, tax, cashflow management, stakeholder engagement, and business performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Management of cashflow, working capital, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Tax compliance, including VAT and income tax reporting
• Financial performance analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders
• Liaison with auditors and support of annual audit processes
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies, and governance requirements
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies
• Supporting new business initiatives and strategic projects through financial analysis and business case development

Requirements:

• CA(SA) qualification preferred
• Alternatively, a relevant Finance or Accounting degree with strong post-qualification experience
• 3–5 years' experience in a financial management, reporting, or financial accounting environment
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills
• Advanced Excel and strong systems proficiency
• Ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders and business functions
