We're recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing, multinational group operating in a cutting-edge R&D space, with entities across South Africa, Lesotho, the UK, and further afield. This is a genuinely cross-border finance seat - real intercompany complexity, real FX exposure, and a business that moves at start-up pace rather than corporate pace. What you'll be doing

• Owning full accounts-to-balance-sheet processing for two of the group's entities - journals, GL, reconciliations, management accounts
• Managing accounts-to-trial-balance for the rest of the group
• Maintaining fixed asset registers - additions, disposals, depreciation, PPE recs
• Preparing statutory returns across applicable jurisdictions
• Processing and reconciling intercompany loans, recharges and balances across entities
• Handling foreign currency transactions, revaluations and exchange rate application
• Processing cross-border payments across multiple currencies
• Supporting audits, including running the local South African audit end-to-end

What we're looking for

• Completed accounting degree and articles (SAICA, SAIPA or CIMA)
• Some experience post-articles - you've had a taste of the real world and want more responsibility, not less
• Multicurrency, multi-entity exposure is a strong advantage
• Xero experience highly beneficial
• Comfortable in a less structured, entrepreneurial environment - you build your own process rather than waiting for one
• Bonus points for exposure to withholding tax, ApprovalMax, Syft Analytics, or using AI tools in your workflow
