We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in the FMCG sector to find a commercially minded, CIMA-qualified Management Accountant who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with practical business insight.
This is an opportunity to work closely with operational teams, understand what influences costs and profitability, and contribute to decisions that make a real difference to the business.
Where you'll make an impact
- Take ownership of manufacturing and product costing, including complex cost calculations
- Get to the bottom of cost and stock variances, identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies
- Play an important role in inventory accounting, stock controls, production costs and waste management
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and meaningful financial analysis
- Deliver accurate management information and KPIs that support operational decisions
- Work alongside different business functions to strengthen processes, controls and reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, efficiencies and overall financial performance
What will make you successful?
We're looking for someone who enjoys the detail but can also see the bigger picture.
You'll need:
- A completed CIMA qualification (ACMA/CGMA)
- 3–5 years' experience in manufacturing costing
- Strong product costing, variance analysis and commercial finance experience
- A solid understanding of inventory and production accounting
- Experience working with an ERP system
- Strong analytical skills and the confidence to engage with operational stakeholders
Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments will be advantageous, as will exposure to SYSPRO, Translution or reporting tools such as Power BI.
