Job Description
My client in the mining industry has a dynamic role available for a Senior Financial Analyst to support decision-making through financial modelling, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the group. The ideal incumbent will have experience in the mining industry, and within a group structure. They should have strong analytical and interpretation skills, financial modelling abilities, excellent communication across all levels, and effective presentation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop financial analysis techniques, models and methodologies
- Develop appropriate risk and opportunities methodologies and frameworks
- Analyse financial information and trends to assist business profitability and growth
- Lead the development, design and implementation of new processes, tools and systems, for the above analysis
- Responsible for supporting the budgeting and forecasting process for the group
- Manage the integration of key processes, systems and data to allow development of wholistic business plans and analyses
- Prepare accurate and timeous monthly and quarterly reporting packs to the relevant boards and committees
- Provide decision support services to senior management by preparing relevant information, analysing the information and considering various scenarios
- Review processes and financial reporting requirements and recommend improvements
- Responsible for driving processes to automate management reporting
- Assume an active role in developing and enhancing the Business Intelligence platform, dashboards and business KPI’s
Requirements:
- CIMA or CA(SA) qualification
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a Group structure
- Experience in the mining industry
