We’re partnering with a well-established business in the FMCG industry to find a highly capable Financial Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, reporting-heavy environment. This is a position for someone who wants to own the reporting function, contribute meaningfully to process improvements, and be part of a business that values structure, accuracy, and strong financial governance. You'll get to work alongside a highly experienced finance leader, with opportunities to drive change and elevate the finance function.

You’ll be working closely with the Head of Finance and overseeing various accounting operations with a strong focus on AFS reporting, compliance, and system optimisation. Your day-to-day will include:

Responsibilities:

  • Owning and delivering accurate monthly and quarterly reporting in line with IFRS
  • Preparing quarterly board packs and financial statements for submission to head office
  • Supporting the half-year and year-end audit processes
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing cash flow monitoring
  • Managing a high-volume, deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities
  • Leading a small finance team and driving continuous improvement
  • Collaborating with internal and external auditors
  • Driving systems improvements and digital reporting initiatives
  • Overseeing general ledger, VAT, taxation, fixed assets, and forex exposure

Requirements:

  • CA(SA) or BCom with 5–10 years’ post-article experience
  • Experience in financial reporting and AFS preparation (listed company exposure is a bonus)
  • Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (Syspro experience is advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of tax legislation and internal controls
  • Leadership experience in a finance team (mentoring, performance management, KPI setting)
