Job Description

My client, a reputable and leading financial services provider, has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Fund Accountant to join their expanding team. The successful candidate would have had experience working with Private Equity funds, Debt funds and/or Property Funds. 

Responsibilities:

• Transaction Processing: Process redemptions, subscriptions, switches, and transfers
• Perform new investor checks including FICA verification and documentation compliance prior to investment
• Investor Reporting and Client Support: Generate and independently verify investor statements
• Assist with external audit queries and respond to client queries efficiently
• Perform full fund accounting duties, including: Reconciliation of cash accounts and portfolio positions
• Fee accrual validation and NAV reasonability checks
• Compilation and submission of quarterly SARB reports
• Process local and foreign trades based on broker notes
• Set up new securities as required
• Process dividends and corporate actions using verified backup sources
• Track and report on fund performance metrics

Requirements:

• BCom or relevant tertiary qualification
• 3-5 years' relevant experience in a similar role
• Previous knowledge of Private Equity funds, Debt funds and/or Property Funds
• Previous experience working on Investran
