Job Description
My client, a reputable financial services provider, is seeking a Fund Accounting Team Leader to lead a team of Fund Valuation Specialists in providing an end-to-end independent valuation solution. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing a team with the ability to lead and inspire a team to work accurately and effectively to ensure deadlines are met.
Responsibilities:
- Reconciling scrip and all bank accounts
- Independent review and reconciliation of securities’ valuation
- Review of fund fees, including performance fees
- Analytical review of fund returns to ensure accurate
- Liaising with fund manager operational teams to resolve queries
- Review and validation of security static data, fund benchmarks
- Ad hoc and monthly review investor trades and reporting
- Review and validation of investor trades and investor registers
- Review and authorisation of investor/fund cash flows
- Review of investor reports, including contract notes, statements, distribution notices, tax reporting
- Review of regulatory reports, e.g. SARB
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing a team
- BCom Degree in Finance (or equivalent) - with 2 years’ work experience; or Newly Qualified CA(SA)
- Recently completed articles at established audit firm, with a preference for financial services experience
