What’s the role all about?
You'll be the backbone of day-to-day financial operations — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and control across the board. From monthly payroll to preparing annual financial statements, your work will directly support strategic decisions and business growth.
What you'll be doing:
- Prepare financial reports, monthly consolidations, and annual financial statements
- Complete regulatory returns and liaise with SARS
- Maintain general ledger and inter-company accounts
- Control the asset register and enforce internal financial controls
- Oversee monthly payroll and supplier payments
- Manage bank, debtors, and creditors reconciliations
- Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and audit preparation
What we’re looking for:
- BComm in Accounting (Honours preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar accounting role
- Experience in consolidated reporting
- Proficiency in Caseware essential, Xero advantageous
- Strong understanding of VAT, tax, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication, self-management, and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize under pressure and drive solutions independently
