Job Description
A fast-growing renewable energy finance business is looking for a commercially sharp Debtors Manager to lead the performance, recovery, and governance of its South African debtors portfolio. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to Executive leadership and Board reporting.
Who this is for:
This role suits someone who understands that debtor management is about outcomes — improving DSO, strengthening recoveries, mitigating risk, and protecting cash flow. You’ll operate at both operational and strategic levels, influencing stakeholders and driving accountability across the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Take full ownership of SA debtors performance and cash collection outcomes
- Actively manage DSO, ageing profiles, and high-risk accounts
- Lead structured recovery plans aligned to contract terms (PPAs, Rent-to-Own, service agreements)
- Identify early risk indicators and prepare structured escalation recommendations
- Support legal enforcement actions and ensure full audit trails
- Consolidate group-level debtor reporting and prepare board-ready packs
- Embed strong governance, controls, and a performance-driven collections culture
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience managing a sizeable debtors book in a structured finance environment
- Strong understanding of contract-based revenue models
- Demonstrated success improving DSO and reducing aged balances
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, customers, and legal teams
- Highly analytical, detail-driven, and commercially astute
- Experience preparing executive and board-level reporting
What’s in it for you:
- Strategic exposure to Executive and Board-level decision-making
- A role that blends commercial thinking with financial discipline
- Opportunity to influence governance, risk management, and cash strategy
- Stable, growing renewable energy environment with real impact
If you’re ready to take accountability for cash performance and drive meaningful improvement, we’d love to hear from you.
