Job Description
A well-established financial services and investment management business is seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to join their tax services team on a temporary contract basis. This opportunity is ideally suited to a candidate who has completed accounting, audit or tax articles and is looking to gain further exposure within a professional and highly reputable financial services environment. This position will provide SARS administrative and tax compliance support to the tax team, with exposure to both individual and trust-related tax administration processes.
What you will be doing:
- Registration of trusts and individuals for tax
- Updating tax representative details
- Collating supporting documentation for SARS submissions
- Assisting with SARS administration and eFiling profile transfers
- Supporting audit-related documentation, scanning and archiving
- Attending SARS meetings where required
What we are looking for:
- Accounting degree or diploma completed
- Completed accounting, audit or tax articles preferred
- Previous tax exposure advantageous
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Intermediate MS Office and Excel skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle required
- Clear credit and criminal record checks
