Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll manage your own portfolio of clients across multiple industries, delivering accounting, tax and advisory services in a dynamic and fast-paced practice.
What you will be doing:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate, trust and individual clients
- Prepare and review Annual Financial Statements, including Compilation and Independent Review engagements
- Prepare company, trust and individual tax returns.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while responding to client queries
- Review the work of junior team members, providing coaching and technical guidance
- Liaise with partners, auditors and SARS where required
- Ensure work is completed within agreed deadlines and quality standards
- Manage billable targets, timesheets and monthly billing
- Contribute to technical excellence and continuous process improvements within the department
What we are looking for:
- CA(SA) or SAIPA Professional Accountant (PA(SA)) qualification
- Newly qualified professionals with strong academics are encouraged to apply, while candidates with 3–5 years' experience in an accounting practice will be well suited to more senior responsibilities
- Experience preparing and reviewing Annual Financial Statements
- Experience with Compilation and Independent Review engagements
- Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and South African tax legislation
- Proficiency in CaseWare
- GreatSoft experience would be advantageous but is not essential
