Job Description
How'd you like to be part of the financial backbone behind cutting-edge industrial monitoring technology?
Picture a young, fast-moving tech and engineering business that's cracked something genuinely clever: technology that measures and monitors the performance of industrial machinery for major global players. Now picture stepping into their finance function as a key member of a team that actually likes working together and gets things done. That's this role.
What you'll be doing:
- Capturing and processing supplier invoices, credit notes, customer invoices and receipts
- Processing bank statements and verifying financial documentation for accuracy
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice discrepancies
- Managing the open PO list and GRIR process
- Allocating customer payments and following up on outstanding accounts
- Preparing journal entries and assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Supporting month-end close, reporting, and audit requirements
- Maintaining finance filing systems and supporting process improvement initiatives
What we're looking for:
- Matric essential; a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping preferred
- 5+ years' experience in an accounting or bookkeeping environment
- ERP systems experience, SAP a strong advantage
- Solid grasp of accounting principles and strong Excel skills
- Sharp numerical and analytical ability, with real attention to detail
- Proactive, highly organised, and able to juggle multiple priorities at once
- Comfortable owning responsibility and exercising discretion
- A strong team player who communicates well at every level
- Deadline-driven, with the adaptability this fast-paced environment demands
What's in it for you:
- A genuinely collaborative, positive team culture, not just a buzzword
- Close working relationship with senior finance leadership, real visibility and mentorship
- Exposure to a business at the sharp end of industrial technology
- Room to bring initiative and make the role your own
