Job Description
My client, a holding company of numerous importing, distributing and process companies worldwide is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team based in Hammersdale, KZN.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately record the financial information on the company ERP system in a timeous and efficient manner
- Responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury and Stock
- Prepare and review company Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reports
- Verifying the accuracy of the balance sheet through reconciling detailed transaction listing to the trial balance
- General office work (as assigned), projects and tasks assigned from time-to-time by management
- Commitment and readiness at month-end to ensure a timely closing and reporting of group financial performance
- Optimise transactions by implementing best practice in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Undertake all tasks ensuring company assets are accounted for accurately and protected effectively
Requirements:
- Relevant financial qualification
- Payroll preparation and review experience preferable
- Knowledge of fundamental accounting functions
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
