Job Description

Investment compliance team seek a Compliance Data Analyst to join them. This role is responsible for the compliance data analysis and collation to a niche compliance team. This team support investment management, wealth management, retirement fund solutions and fund services. Dynamic team with hybrid working model, who offer a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Instrument classifications in line with Reg28, ASISA, SARB
  • Analysis and collation of data required for portfolios compliance with Reg28, CISCA, ASISA and SARB
  • Liaising with asset managers to collate all portfolio holdings and going through data
  • Compiling ASISA, FSCA and SARB quarterly reporting
  • Assist with enhancing reports and ensuring correct rule set-up on various compliance and reporting systems
  • Responsible for compliance static data management and working with internal teams on data clean ups and sharing of knowledge on compliance and instrument data as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a completed degree in commerce, finance, legal or information systems
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a compliance data role within the asset management industry
  •  Must have a good understanding and exposure to Reg28, Board Notice 90 & 52, SARB, CISCA and ASISA related guidelines, too
  • Ideally have had exposure to compliance software such as Fundamental, Moonfire and investment systems and must have strong MSExcel skills
  • Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must have the ability to work with large volumes of data and distil it for reporting purposes
  • Work well under pressure and excellent deadline management skills
  • Well organized and high attention to detail
  • Good team player who has a strong work ethic
  • Must be self-driven and have high levels of integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
