Job Description

My client, based in Cape Town CBD, is seeking an Asset Manager to support the daily management of all commercial, contractual, regulatory and reporting obligations for a portfolio of PV power plants. The successful candidate will oversee the execution of commercial and administrative tasks for each Project Company and support the VP of Finance and Asset Management/General Manager in liaising with the Board of Directors and third parties.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) operations from financial close to project completion
  • Administer all project financing agreements, monitor payments, manage SPV cash flow, handle loan disbursements and ensure compliance with covenants and financial provisions
  • Oversee project-level profit and loss (P&L) activities, monitor financial returns of power plants, conduct variance analyses and perform budget reviews to ensure financial and operational
  • argets are met
  • Manage and administer contracts with EPC, O&M, lenders and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with constitutional and financing documents. Maintain accurate project management systems and statutory filings
  • Engage with local communities, governmental bodies, and other stakeholders, ensuring adherence to environmental and social obligations
  • Prepare and present financial and operational reports for Board meetings, ensure accurate documentation uploads to lenders and respond to queries from advisors, banks and regulatory bodies

Requirements:

  • A degree in Accounting/Finance
  • At least 5 years of working experience within the areas of finance management, project-related asset management, project finance-related banking or advisory, corporate finance or controlling, accounting or auditing
  • Strong financial modelling experience
