Job Description
My client, in the financial services sector, is seeking a Manager for Regulatory Affairs to join their team in Midrand. This role reports directly to the Head of Public Policy and Regulatory, and is responsible to manage all regulatory and compliance developments and affairs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the company's understanding and adherence to relevant financial regulations, laws, and industry guidelines
- Engaging senior management across the business to ensure that internal processes are aligned with regulatory requirements
- Advising on regulatory changes that may impact the company's operations and strategy
- Ensuring the Public Policy & Regulatory Affairs team (PPARA) captures and monitors regulatory trends and changes
- Ensuring implementation plans are created to comply with new legislation and regulations
- Work closely with the Risk and Compliance teams to identify and assess regulatory risks
- Provide strategic advice to senior management on regulatory changes, risks, and opportunities
Requirements:
- BCom LLB degree or relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum of 7 years Financial Services experience
- Admitted attorney and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is advantageous
