Job Description

My client specialises in the Healthcare industry has a position available for a SAICA articled  Accountant to support the Finance Director: Operations based in Cape Town for 6 months due to workload excess. In this role, you will assist with audits, trial balance reconciliations, and compliance with financial reporting standards, while coordinating change management initiatives. Responsibilities:
  • Support the submission of various finance related returns for all entities within the Group
  • Assist with month-end and/or year-end general ledger journals
  • Support client facing staff, ensuring customer accounts agree with external records
  • Support with client, intercompany and interbranch invoices
  • Support complete, accurate and timely vendor reconciliation submissions
  • Support with the improvement and training of finance staff
  • Support compliance of international Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other reporting legislation
  • Provide overview of accounting systems and processes to auditors
  • Prepare audit working papers for year-end audit
  • Ensure that audit adjustments are processed accurately and timeously
  • Support the Finance Director: Operations with change management and transition activities
Requirements:
  • Minimum SAICA articles, experience in a similar role in a medium to large environment
  • Experience with Caseware and completion of financial statements would be highly advantages 
  • Experience in multi-currency, multi-company, and multi-jurisdictional accounting highly advantages
