My client's on the hunt for a Financial Accountant to support their growing, international business. With operations in South Africa, the US and the UK, this role offers rare exposure to cross-border finance and a seat at the table of a purpose-driven, fast-moving company.

What’s the role about?

This is a multifaceted role where you’ll oversee bookkeeping, reporting, and control functions across three entities. It’s a brilliant opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to make a tangible difference to how finance supports the business.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Manage AP, AR, purchase orders, and reconciliations for the South African entity
• Handle fixed assets, stock reconciliations, and trade finance reporting
• Support VAT submissions, credit insurance reporting, and external audits
• Oversee financial admin for our UK and US entities, including transfer pricing
• Consolidate and report performance across all business units
• Maintain governance, shared services registers, and intercompany documentation
• Take initiative on ad hoc financial tasks and process improvements

What we’re looking for:

• A relevant Finance degree
• 3–5 years’ accounting experience, ideally in an SME environment
• Strong grasp of tax regulations, VAT, and international financial compliance
• Familiarity with Xero and CIN7 Core (Dear) is a big plus
• Solid Excel skills and comfort with modern cloud-based systems
• Analytical, detail-focused, and able to juggle diverse financial tasks
• A self-starter who thrives in entrepreneurial, high-growth environments
• Based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town (fully in-office)
