Job Description
My client a successful medium sized accounting and audit firm is looking to employ an Accounting and Audit Manager. The ideal candidate would be a client focused, professional and ethical individual with strong technical abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Review financial statements meticulously, ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Calculate and file tax returns for businesses, trusts and individuals, advise on complex tax laws, and strategies for optimal tax efficiency
- Prepare financial statements to present a accurate view of the company's financial health, ensure adherence to accounting standards
- Review costs, budgets, and performance data to support strategic decision-making
- Provide sound advise on mergers, acquisitions, financial restructuring, and other critical business matters
- Manage a team of 15 staff liaising with the practice manager and business partner
Requirements:
- Minimum of CA(SA), RA and Registered Tax Practitioner (good standing)
- Must have a minumum of 5 - 10 years post qualifying experience, within a small or medium sized accounting practice
- Good interpersonal skills, with a problem solving attitude
- Client service orientated, this is a must
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Professional and ethical
- Strong technical competence
