Job Description

My client, an established Accounting practice who largely service small to medium owner managed businesses, is looking to employ an experienced Company Statutory Secretary to join their team.  The core focus of this role is CIPC administration and liaising directly with clients, the Masters Office as well as the Directors and Trustees. Responsibilities: 

  • Complete registration documents  for Close Corporations and Companies to get companies registered
  • Liaise with the Registrar of Companies and Close Corporations (CIPC) and the Masters Office 
  • Complete documents for De-registration of CC’s and Companies
  • Manage Transfer of Shares and allotment of Share Capital
  • Assist with name changes and conversion of CC's to Companies
  • Manage conversion of “old format” to “new format” Companies
  • Assist with admin for appointment and resignation of Directors, change of members
  • Draw Bank Certificates
  • Assist with admin for Trustees appointments and resignations
  • Submit annual returns submissions with CIPC 
  • Assist with ad hoc admin duties, filling, taking minutes
  • Liaise with clients, CIPC and the Masters Office
Requirements: 
  • Must have 3 - 5 yearsexperience working in a similar role, ideally within an accounting practice
  • Must have strong organizational, communication & administrative skills
  • Must be able to work independently and efficiently
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel (experience with Secware, GreatSoft beneficial)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and time management (essential)
