This role requires an individual with the ability to build and analyze finance models and offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced scale-up environment. In this role you will be exposed to various aspects of finance, including M&A, financial modelling, budgeting, investor and management reporting, and management accounting.

Please note this is an onsite role based in the CBD.

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare detailed financial models to assess the viability and financial impact of acquisition targets.
  • Support the preparation of investment proposals and presentations for senior management and investors.
  • Assist in post-merger integration analysis and financial performance tracking.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and cost control initiatives.
  • Implement and enhance financial reporting tools and dashboards for real-time insights.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate potential business strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop KPIs and performance metrics to measure business success.
  • Support investor reporting requirements, ensuring clear and insightful financial communication.

What you will bring:

  • Relevant Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within M&A or FP&A.
  • Experience with both building and analyzing financial models 
  • Preferable experience from the Big 4 and/or investment banking.
  • Experience with Power BI is highly desired.
