What you’ll be doing:
- Resolve complex UK VAT compliance issues for a global client
- Design and implement robust VAT processes across UK operations
- Collaborate with finance, tax, and operations teams to ensure seamless compliance
- Guide the client through VAT audits and HMRC investigations
- Align UK VAT processes with business objectives and best practices
- Prepare for upcoming statutory project initiatives
- 10+ years’ experience in VAT, with significant UK VAT expertise
- Strong analytical skills and practical knowledge of VAT reporting and accounting
- Direct experience liaising with HMRC on audits and disputes
- Proven ability to build or restructure VAT compliance frameworks
- Experience working with multinational FMCG clients is highly advantageous
- A structured, detail-focused mindset with strong communication skills
- Able to work independently across cross-functional teams
- Work on a high-impact, global VAT engagement
- Collaborate with international teams across finance and operations
