Client operating within the transport industry, focused on financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Looking to employ an Assistant Accountant.

What you will be doing:
- Approve vendor invoices and PODs for timely payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Manage POD and billing team to ensure accurate payment preparation
- Attend weekly query meetings to resolve vendor issues
- Release and approve bills after verification
- Prepare monthly vendor reconciliations and payment requests
- Generate purchase orders and confirm PODs per vendor specs
- Maintain and update financial reports
- Send remittances and allocate vendor payments
What we are looking for:
- Certificate or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in accounts/finance, preferably in transport/logistics
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Discretion with confidential information
- Honest, punctual, reliable, and able to work under pressure
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
