Job Description
An exciting international opportunity is available for a CA(SA) to join a global organisation operating across the manufacturing, commodities and trading sectors.This role forms part of the European finance function and will work closely with senior leadership to drive financial insight, performance analysis and strategic decision-making across the region. The position offers significant international exposure and the opportunity to be involved in shaping a modern, data-driven finance function, with a strong focus on automation, analytics and business partnering. The successful individual will operate remotely from South Africa while collaborating with international teams across Europe.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting the European financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis
- Preparing weekly and monthly management reporting, analysing sales volumes, margins, fixed costs and working capital movements
- Conducting financial performance analysis and providing commentary on variances against targets
- Assisting with the coordination of the annual budgeting process across European entities
- Preparing detailed financial models and analytical reports to support business decisions
- Monitoring operational performance and identifying opportunities to improve financial outcomes
- Supporting the implementation of automation, dashboards and analytics tools as the finance function evolves toward a more technology-enabled model
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders across manufacturing, distribution and commercial teams
What we are looking for:
- CA(SA)
- 3-5 years’ post articles experience within in a similar role
- Big Four audit experience advantageous
- Strong knowledge of IFRS reporting standards
- Advanced Excel skills including Power Pivot and Power Query
- Experience working with SAP (FI module) and financial reporting systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial modelling capabilities
- A proactive and self-driven individual who enjoys working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across different regions
