What you will be doing: 

• Supporting the Head of Finance in day‑to‑day finance operations
• Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
• Ensuring accurate general ledger processing, reviews, and reconciliations
• Managing cash flow planning and banking processes
• Overseeing debtors, creditors, and revenue reconciliations
• Ensuring SARS compliance and all statutory submissions
• Participating in and managing year‑end audit processes
• Implementing and maintaining financial controls, policies, and procedures
• Identifying and driving finance process improvements
• Monitoring operational costs and ensuring accurate cost allocations
• Leading and developing junior finance staff
• Building a high‑performance culture within the finance team
• Partnering effectively with operational teams to support business objectives

What we are looking for: 

• BCom Accounting / Finance degree or equivalent
• SAICA AGA, SAIPA, or CIMA (essential)
• 2–3 years’ post‑article experience in a commercial / non‑audit environment
• Proven experience managing people and finance processes
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience in transport, logistics, or operational environments (advantageous)
• High attention to detail and strong analytical ability
• Proven leadership and team development capability
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
• Ability to manage pressure, deadlines, and multiple priorities
• Process‑driven mindset with ability to identify inefficiencies
