Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing construction materials business built on strong operational foundations and ambitious plans for scale. With multiple established sites already in place, the business is now building a best-in-class finance function and needs a confident Financial Manager to lead the way. This is the most senior finance role in the business, reporting directly to the CFO. You’ll take ownership of the full financial management function, driving reporting accuracy, compliance, internal controls and financial structure across the business.

What you’ll be doing:

• Preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
• Managing tax compliance across VAT, PAYE, provisional tax, income tax and statutory submissions
• Overseeing fixed asset registers, depreciation and cost accounting across operations
• Leading the year-end audit process and acting as the main contact for auditors, SARS and banking partners
• Managing AP, AR and payroll oversight through the Debtors and Creditors Controllers
• Building stronger financial controls, improving processes and supporting operational decision-making

What we’re looking for:

• SAIPA OR SAICA-qualified Professional or AGA (SA) with relevant Financial Manager experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial management role, ideally within construction, manufacturing, quarrying or industrial sectors
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 16 lease accounting
• Proven experience with SARS e-Filing, audits and financial statement preparation
• Strong ERP systems experience (Sage AccPac highly advantageous)
• A proactive, independent mindset with strong analytical and communication skills
