Job Description
Contract opportunity exists for a detail-oriented junior Fund Accountant to support daily fund operations and pricing accuracy within a fast-paced financial services environment. This client has an excellent track record in both the SA and international markets.
This is a 6 month contract role, September 2026 start.

What you will be doing:
- Reconcile bank statements and account for client deposits and fund income
- Ensure accurate recording of unit creations/cancellations and alignment with portfolio systems
- Update portfolios and trial balances with dividends, deals and settlements
- Calculate daily fund prices and yields, investigating variances
- Perform daily, monthly and quarterly reconciliations and reporting
- Support ad hoc projects within the team
What we are looking for:
- BCom in Accounting or CIMA
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounting role
- Financial services or fund accounting experience advantageous
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
- High attention to detail and strong numerical ability
- Strong administration, organisation and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong communication skills and high level of integrity
