Looking for a finance seat where the numbers shape what gets built?
Our client is a fast-growing, founder-led business working in global luxury hospitality and they are currently looking for a Financial Director to join their team. They’re entrepreneurial and creative, with projects across several continents. They’re now at an exciting point: building the senior team, bringing in investment and putting the structure in place to scale.

The role

You’ll report to the Founder and CEO and build an integrated finance, commercial control and governance function across the South African and offshore entities. This is a commercial seat first. Your job is to help leadership make faster, better decisions, protect margin and keep a sharp eye on cash.

What you'll be doing:

• Own the budget, rolling forecasts, cash scenarios and a single Group financial model
• Make project reporting live and forward looking: cost to complete, forecast margin, variations, claims and retentions
• Sign off material bids, pricing exceptions and major procurement commitments
• Lead treasury, FX, cross-border payments, intercompany and transfer pricing
• Strengthen controls across banking, payments, supplier verification and delegated authority
• Lead the move to a full external audit, and give the financial input for capital raising and investor reporting
• Own the finance and project-control systems, including setting the rules for AI-enabled reporting
• Build and lead the finance team, including the commercial and estimating functions

What you’ll bring

• CA(SA), CIMA/CGMA, ACCA or equivalent
• Senior finance leadership as an FD, Commercial FD or Head of Finance
• Experience in a project-led business: engineering, manufacturing, construction, fabrication or design-build
• Hands-on job costing, committed cost and project cash flow experience
• Multi-currency and cross-border exposure
• Bonus points for import and export costing, capital raising, or offshore group structures
