My client in the Agri Investment sector has an awesome opportunity for a skilled FM who can be the link between the holding company and the operational businesses that make up the assets under management. As a Financial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization and providing strategic financial guidance to the management team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified CA(SA) or Honours qualified with Articles, with strong technical skills and a proven track record in people management.

Responsibilities:

• Apply IFRS and International Accounting Standards to monthly financial reporting and management accounts
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and manage fixed assets
• Review and approve payroll and payments
• Manage annual audits and implement internal controls
• Prepare financial forecasts
• Contribute to and implement legal agreements
• Conduct annual reviews of insurance policies and ensure new assets are insured
• Ensure timely fulfillment of statutory obligations (VAT, tax returns, annual returns)
• Oversee company secretarial matters with external providers
• Lead and mentor the accounting team 

Requirements:

• Honours Degree with SAICA Articles / CA(SA) qualification
• Strong technical skills in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS)
• Proven ability or experience in leading and managing a team of finance professionals
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Agility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
