Job Description

I have an exciting role within the Project Finance space, for a Project Accountant to join my clients' growing team in Cape Town. The role will support the financial manager and business with various financial projects for the group and project companies. 

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Financial Manager
• Liaison with and resolving any issues with SARS.
• Oversight of general daily administration of project companies.
• Reviewing the basic monthly bookkeeping, management accounts and payroll for projects.
• Reviewing the complex monthly bookkeeping, management accounts and payroll for projects. 
• Review budget for projects and ensuring accurate and timeous upkeeping of records
• Assisting with consolidations.
• With respect to any Group and individual project companies:
  • Review group company loan reconciliations
  • Review and presentation of monthly management accounts
  • Writing up of more complex accounting records of clients)
  • Preparation of tax returns (VAT, Company Tax etc.)

Requirements:

• Completed SAICA articles
• Post articles experience in a similar role would be advantageous
• Highly detail oriented and organized in work
