Job Description

A globally recognised asset manager is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract within their Cape Town-based finance team. This opportunity offers strong international exposure, working across South Africa, the UK and Hong Kong, within a dynamic and high-performing environment.
This role is well suited to a technically strong CA(SA) looking to gain exposure to a global business, while contributing meaningfully across financial reporting, regulatory compliance and core finance processes.

What you will be doing

• Taking ownership of accounting, tax and statutory reporting for various entities
• Preparing board packs and regulatory returns
• Managing month-end accounting processes
• Producing monthly management reports
• Drafting Annual Financial Statements
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Liaising with auditors during year-end processes
• Working with external tax providers on annual tax submissions
• Reviewing and approving accounts payable batches
• Supporting ad hoc projects and process improvements
• Keeping up to date with IFRS, tax and regulatory developments
• Collaborating with both local and international finance teams

What we are looking for

• CA(SA) qualification
• Strong technical IFRS knowledge
• Previous financial or management accounting experience
• Experience with VAT and statutory reporting
• Ability to interpret and implement regulatory and accounting changes
• High attention to detail with a hands-on approach
• Experience with Oracle Fusion or Hyperion Essbase would be advantageous
