What you will be doing:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and local tax regulations
  • Manage internal and external audits and liaise with auditors
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models
  • Provide variance analysis and financial insights to support decision-making
  • Monitor and manage cash flow and treasury activities
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, including corporate tax and VAT
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and system optimisation
  • Support financial strategy, risk management, and investment decisions
  • Handle group consolidation, intercompany reconciliations, and reporting
  • Guide and support team members, ensuring alignment to team goals

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or equivalent 3-year degree
  • Completed SAICA articles (registered CA not required)
  • 2–3 years post-articles experience
  • Experience dealing with auditors and tax authorities
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and South African tax regulations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with accounting systems (e.g. ERP platforms)
  • Exposure to cross-border transactions is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
