An established and fast-paced retail-focused organisation is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support accurate financial management and reporting across the business.

What you will be doing:

• Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Maintain the general ledger and update financial records
• Prepare financial statements, summaries, and reports for management
• Monitor petty cash and cash handling procedures
• Support audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations (SARS)
• Liaise with suppliers, clients, and service providers on financial matters
• Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information

What we are looking for:

• Matric / National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) minimum
• Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping (SAQA-recognized)
• 2+ years’ experience in bookkeeping within retail or similar environment
• Knowledge of South African tax laws, VAT, and payroll regulations
• Experience with accounting software such as Pastel, QuickBooks, or Xero
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong organisational and communication skills
