A well-established manufacturing business, based in Salt River, is looking for a confident and detail-driven Senior Financial Accountant to join their Cape Town operation. This is an opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys combining technical accounting with people leadership and operational responsibility.

What’s the role about?

You’ll take ownership of the full accounting function while leading and supporting a team of 10. From debtors and creditors to payroll, SARS submissions and departmental deadlines, you’ll play a key role in keeping the finance function accurate, compliant and running smoothly.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing the Accounts Department and leading a team of 10
• Overseeing the full accounting function, including debtors, creditors, invoicing and payroll
• Mentoring junior team members and assisting with day-to-day queries
• Compiling and submitting monthly SARS returns
• Working closely with other departments to meet key deliverables and deadlines
• Driving efficiency while maintaining accounting standards and company policies

What we’re looking for

• A relevant post-school qualification in finance or accounting
• 4–5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
• Strong Excel and general MS Office skills
• Manufacturing industry experience would be advantageous
• Sage 300 experience would be a plus
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and deadline management
• A confident communicator who can lead, support and motivate a team
• On-site Monday to Friday
