What you will be doing:
- Monitoring market conditions, positions and risk limits
- Executing trades for clients and internal portfolios, ideally across multi-asset class securities
- Working closely and supporting the Head of Trading
- Liaising with brokers and counterparties to source liquidity and ensure best execution
- Keeping accurate trade records in line with regulatory and internal controls
- Manage broker relationships and recommending suitable allocation plans
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 2 years' trade execution experience in JSE-listed securities
- Minimum of a finance / business or management degree,or similar
- Completed JSE and FAIS regulatory exams (RPEs, JSE registered securities trader, FAIS RE5)
- Knowledge of the Bloomberg trading platform
- Sound knowledge of financial markets & passion for markets and trading
- High attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a good team player
