Job Description
Calling all qualified CA(SA) professionals to join a dynamic NGO leader in shaping financial strategies for funded projects in Cape Town. My client seeks a meticulous Finance Manager with razor-sharp problem-solving skills, organisational flair, and expertise in compliance-driven reporting. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage project bookkeeping including cashbook processing and journals
- Ensure preparation of bank reconciliations and reviews
- Provide oversight and compliance on project debit cards, staff debtors and expense claims
- Provide financial management support to programme directors
- Review and release electronic payments and transfers
- Manage completeness and accuracy of the fixed asset register
- Manage overall responsibility of the financial management / trial balance as allocated
- Ensure accurate accounting for VAT
- Manage overall responsibility for the preparation and execution of all funds related audits
- Assist with preparation and execution of statutory audits
- Manage and ensure adequate cash-flow management
- Manage and ensure loan account and inter account transfers are done
- Manage all monthly expense claims and financial reporting are prepared and submitted on time
- Ensure all reports are reconciled to the underlying financial system
- Maintain and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure high level plans are communicated and assigned to the team
- Engage in the performance review process
Requirements:
- CA (SA) qualification
- Minimum of 2 years post articles experience outside of an auditing environment
