Remote - Individuals must be based in Cape Town for occasional team collaboration.
We are looking for a driven and resourceful Implementation Lead to join our client's strategic programmes team. Sitting between a project coordinator and project manager, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, creates momentum, and brings people together to deliver impact.
Working closely with the Head of Strategic Programmes, you will help deliver and optimise a range of internal and external projects that create real business value. We’re looking for someone who can build structure where none exists, earn trust quickly, and operate comfortably in both the detail and the bigger picture.
What you will be doing:
- Lead small to medium projects across internal and external workstreams
- Partner on strategic initiatives, process improvement, and documentation
- Build scalable systems, templates, and repeatable processes
- Support the Strategic Programmes team wherever capacity is needed
- Build strong relationships across teams and seniority levels
- Engage professionally with external stakeholders and confidently represent the team
- Create clarity and drive progress in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
What you will need:
- Proven experience operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Ideal experience would be a combination of event management, operations, project implementation etc
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate teams and stakeholders
- Comfortable balancing detail with strategic thinking
- High levels of autonomy, initiative, and a bias for action
- Project management certification advantageous (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) - great organisation and people skills matter more than methodology credentials.
- Exposure to strategic or transformation programmes in a high-growth business.
- Experience in fintech, retail, film or other fast-paced and complex industries.
