Why This Role:

We're growing our Commissions team and looking for a Commissions Administrator to manage the accurate calculation, reconciliation, processing and payment of adviser and broker commissions within a financial services environment. You'll make sure commissions are handled in line with company policy, contractual agreements, regulatory requirements and insurer payment schedules  working closely with Finance, Payroll and Compliance along the way.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Calculate and process adviser and broker commissions, including once-off, recurring, upfront, trail and clawback payments
  • Capture and maintain commission data within internal systems
  • Verify commission statements received from product providers and insurers
  • Reconcile commission statements against internal records and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Follow up with insurers, product providers and internal stakeholders on outstanding queries
  • Maintain accurate commission records, structures, banking details and supporting documentation
  • Assist with onboarding new financial advisers from a commission administration perspective
  • Prepare monthly commission reports, summaries and variance analysis for management
  • Support financial audits and monitor trends or anomalies in commission activity
  • Respond to adviser and internal queries, and liaise with insurers, product providers, payroll, finance and compliance teams
  • Ensure commission payments comply with financial services legislation, company policy and audit requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and adviser information throughout

What We're Looking For:

  • Grade 12 (Matric), with a diploma or certificate in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration advantageous
  • 2–5 years' experience in commission or finance administration, ideally within financial services or insurance
  • Familiarity with insurer commission statements, adviser remuneration models and reconciliation processes
  • Understanding of commission structures within financial services, with knowledge of investments, life insurance or employee benefits advantageous
  • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis) and solid proficiency across Microsoft Office
  • Experience using CRM, commission management or financial administration systems
  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Clear communicator, comfortable working independently and within a team
  • Professional and trustworthy when handling confidential information
