What you will be doing:
- Prepare VAT returns
- Prepare management accounts and management reporting
- Prepare CIS returns
- Prepare statutory reporting and year-end adjustments
- Prepare Corporation Tax returns
- Provide company secretarial support
- Process financial data and identify opportunities to streamline processes
- Review work completed by junior team members before publication in accounting systems
- Act as a first point of contact for client queries
- Support clients with accounting software and cloud-based solutions
- Deliver Xero and app setup support and training
- Assist clients with budgeting and forecasting
- Support office administration and ad hoc projects
- Train and mentor junior team members
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams
- Ensure client deadlines are met and expectations are managed effectively
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of a completed undergraduate in Accounting, SAIPA or SAICA articles an advantage
- Previous experience within an accounting practice preferred
- Strong accounting knowledge
- Experience with Xero and Excel
- Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Team-oriented mind-set with the ability to support and train others
- Professional, articulate and client-focused approach
